Iterate organizes world-class hackathons all around the world. We bring together top-tier engineering talent and leading AI companies (like Anthropic, DeepMind, Mistral…) to build the future. We want to make these events bigger, more ambitious and more global, and need amazing operators to help us execute this vision.
Role & Responsibilities
You own Iterate's hackathons end-to-end, in every city on the map. We've already run elite events around the world; your job is to make the next ten hackathons 100 times better than the previous one. Expect to:
- Run events end-to-end: city selection, venue, catering, content synchronization, marketing, merchandising, programming, on-site execution, teardown, post-mortem...
- Scout and penetrate ecosystems in cities we've never operated in, sometimes with weeks of notice
- Close local partnerships: sponsors, communities, suppliers, hosts, government and university contacts when needed
- Recruit and manage on-the-ground ops teams in each market
- Handle the logistics most attendees never see: permits, AV, catering, swag, badges, comms, contingency plans
- Turn each event into a repeatable playbook, where creativity becomes the last bottleneck
- Create a procurement pipeline that compounds over time and progressively streamlines and automates our operations
Who You Are
- You've run real events with real budgets and real headcount. You know what breaks at 2am the night before doors open.
- You can land in a city you've never visited and have a venue, a caterer, and a partner locked in by end of week.
- Network in your pocket, instinct for who to call. Comfortable closing over coffee or DMs.
- Calm when things go sideways. Things always go sideways.
- Fluent in English.
- Willing to travel a lot.
- Willing to work most weekends.
